Lightning ridge, a shocking experience - Josh

On the way to Lighting Ridge we met a nice person called Alf and he said we should stay at his sons caravan park so we went there and checked it out. After looking around we decided that we liked it, so we unpacked and guess what? there was free internet so we used a little bit then we went to the bowling club. The bowling club also had internet so we had lunch there then we left to explore the town. When we got back to the caravan park we played some lego, we had dinner and celebrated dad's birthday. I bought him a cookie instead of a present, he loved it and afterwards we went to sleep Zzzzzzz.

In the morning Alf gave us a tour around Lightning Ridge, I wasn't that interested so I had a nap in the car, when I woke up I was at a place that looked like a desert, this place was a opal mine, were you can find black opals. It was so hot and there was no shade, so we did not stay long and we went back to the bowling club for lunch. After we had something to eat we visited a man who has found lots of opals so he showed us some. While I waited I saw a shark movie so I watched it then my brothers joined me. The movie was so violent, it had so much blood when it finshed we left.

In the evening we had dinner then we went to the hot mineral bath, it was burning! the water was so hot so we just sat down and got our feet wet but then I went in. After staying for a while we left then slept Zzzzz.

I yawn first thing in the morning, woke up then we decided to check the town. Afterwards we went to the bowling club and used the kids room to play games on the computer. When we finish playing games we went back to the caravan park, we got things ready for a barbeque and walked to the camp kitchen. Once we finished lunch we had our laptops and did some work then suddenly a sand tornado appeared and nearly nocked my dads laptop off the table, there was so much dust it was crazy then it passed, I saw a bucket full of clothes get caught in it so I ran and got it just in time WOW! so I ran back and told mum and dad what happened, it was dangerous but we made it out of there alive. After having lunch we went to the club again for dinner and saw Alf there. My brothers and I went to the play room and while we were playing mum and dad won a prize, it was a vegetables raffle.

We went back to the caravan park but before we went to sleep we decided to go back to the hot mineral bath, we went there, had a swim, it was too hot so we did not stay long, then we went back to the caravan and went to bed.

In the morning I woke up first same as usual then had breakfast then started packing then we left Lightning Ridge.
