When we arrived at our site in Darwin first thing we did was set up and explored, there was a big space for dogs to roam and the caretaker was also a dog sitter. We had lunch and went out to make friends, there were lots of kids so the three of us made friends quickly and played tigy. In Darwin we met again with the family that had two boys and two girls, they were Irish so we played with them until we got tired. At the camp there was also a sort of a club were teddys, teacups and chairs we set up. Noah and I decided to use this space to sell books, OOshies, lego, at least we got two dollars then it was dinner then we went to sleep.

The next day was Friday and on Saturday was Territory day. In Darwin fireworks are legal so on that day we bought a "thunder pack" fireworks. Territory day happens on the first of July, a very special day and on that day, you are allowed to light up fireworks, there are many celebrations happening on that day, we went to the ones at Mindil Market. When we got there, there were food stalls, music, magic shows and there was a stage on the beach. We set up near the beach with some friends from the caravan park we were staying and spent the whole day there, we only got up to grab snacks then at the "finale" there were 100's of fireworks everywhere! some were part if the show, others were from the town and even more, at the end of the show we went to pick up our own fireworks, the ones that we bought and drove to a remote road then we got started. Dad always lit the fireworks then they shot into the air and exploded some were loud. Some were nice and some went out with the bang then we drove back to camp and went to sleep.

The next day we decided to go to Berry Springs. Once we arrived there we were walking around on our bathers when we saw a ranger park talk about crocodiles and snakes. after the talk we got to hold the snakes, I liked it because the snake would wrap around my arm, I couldn't hold the croc because I was too young.

Eventually we moved on to the hot springs, I went with my brothers and Dad, first we jumped into the big pool and followed the river to the waterfall. Once we got there we saw people swimming underneath the waterfall, dad went first and then Noah and then I went in, after a while we left. Every day while in Darwin we went to the library, it was the best wifi and some days there was a market next to the library, there were also free books so mum graved the lot and then we went inside, it was always cool inside, the library had an x box station and there were lots of books so Noah and I started reading books but then it closed so then we checked out the market right outside, it was amazing then went back had dinner then went to bed.

The following day we did a day trip to Kakadu National Park, we arrived at the Ubirr site. It had many indigenous rock art, we read about them, one of them had paintings of fish and the description said that it was a menu. We kept walking until we reached the look out, we climbed rocks and when we got to the top, it was the perfect view of the landscape, we took some pictures and we walked back down, on the way down we took one last look of the paintings.

We left Darwin, on the way down to Katherine we stopped at Litchfield National Park and went back to check two waterfalls from Kakadu. From all the waterfalls, my favorite was Maguk in Kakadu because my brothers and I found a ledge on the rock that we could jump from.

Next stop, to the West.
