Cooktown was a very small town and we stayed at a caravan park because dad needed to do some work and we needed supplies. On our second day we met Deb and Darren (we met at Panorella park) and we went to the pub and had lunch. Back at the caravan we went to sleep in our new tent. The next morning we packed our tent then we set off to the next campsite in Cape York peninsula.

The next two nights we spent at the National Park called Lakefield. On the first night we camped by a river. Dad and I threw our yabbie nets with Deb and Darren into the river and we waited, waited, waited.... while we waited we started a fire to cook dinner. After dinner we decided to walk to the river with our torches and look for crocs, luckily for us we could not see any but deep inside I really wanted to see one.

Next camp we stayed near a causeway and river. So dad and I checked out the river first, we were told there were many crocs there but we were surprised we didn't see any. we went back as dad said we could go fishing in the causeway. Deb, Darren and us packed our fishing rods and went in the car. You could not fish on the river, only on the causeway while you are inside the car, that was the difficult part. If dad caught a fish he had to pass it to mum and mum being a vegetarian was not impressed.

After fishing, Deb and Darren gave us a coconut, we tried and did not work, dad used his machete and cut it open, all the water came out so we wasted a little but it had a lot of food inside.
Coen was our next stop, we arrived late at the free camp so all the good spots were taken. We found one and played with other boys until Deb and Darren got stuck in the sand by a river. Dad and I checked it out, I jumped in the river which you could swim (no crocs). Darren had to use his winge to get the caravan out, once the caravan was out, mum Raf and Noah arrived to this site by the sand, we set up camp and after my brothers and I went swimming.

Next day we left Deb and Darren and went to Chilli beach. We reached Chilly beach set up camp then we explored the beach, dad said we couldn't go near the water as they were crocs. Then I stumbled across a giant shell it was huge and beautiful. I picked it up and cleaned it then we continued the walk and found this beautiful wood so we took it back to base camp, we also gathered coconuts. At the camp we found a swing that we had fun on. It was also really windy that it was difficult to have fires, but we still did it and had lots of fun.

Branwell station had all you can eat buffet but we had a discount because we were vegetarians. We found a camp spot, set up then played around in the tent until dinner time when we left for the buffet. It was amazing they served us food and there was also in entertainment.
Old Telegraph Road was made for 4WD (4 wheel drive) it was challenging it had river crossing, rough terrain, uneven ground and corrugations.

We were coming in and out of the road. Once we reached gun shot ( a steep dip) I realised how dangerous it was, it was 5 meter drop and people damaged there cars so they can't travel anymore, we just took some photos then we left to fruit bat falls. When we got there we jumped in then went to the falls, it was so fun then we had lunch then we took a last dip then left.

We stayed in Seisa because we wanted to catch a boat to Thursday Island.

On the second day we went to Thursday Island, we went to the museum and the ruins off a lookout that was used during the war, after we went back home on the boat.

The following morning we left really early to go to the tip, the aboriginal name, Pajinka. Once we reached the tip there was a sigh that said "You Were Most Northernmost Point Of Australia" once we reached it we started making our way down.

The last falls we went to was Elliot Falls and Sam Creek we had a lot of fun swimming and then we headed back to Mareeba
